Wayland Vie Ramage, age 75, of Pittsboro, NC entered into Heaven on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
Wayland was born and raised in Cambridge, Ohio on September 25, 1944 to the late William Wayland Ramage and Norma Jean Stage Ramage.
Wayland resided in California before settling in North Carolina. He served his country in the United States Army as a proud Vietnam Veteran. He was a Mason for 46 years and was a member of Columbus Lodge 102 A.F. & A.M.
His career spanned many areas and interest allowing him to travel the world. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, UNC basketball, spending time with family and friends and always enjoyed great food.
Wayland was loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Surviving relatives include his wife Judy Ramage, two daughters; Renee Burger and husband Chris of Pittsboro, Nicole Ramage of Ohio, son; Scot Ramage of Ohio, sister; Joy Prusak and husband Dan of Michigan, nine grandchildren, Julia, Brandon. Andrew, Tiffany, Tehya, Wayland, Kyle, Kody, Tamika, and four great-grandchildren; Jamison, Jaxson, Caden, and Ava Mae.
There are no services planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Wayland’s memory to Lineberger Cancer Center at UNC P.O. Box 309 Chapel Hill, NC 27514-0309, The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford 600 College Street, NC 27565, or United Service Organization (USO) USO Department WS P.O. Box 96860 Washington, DC. 20090-6860.
