Michael Joe Russell, 67, passed away in Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC, Tuesday evening, December 21, 2021

A native of Carteret County, NC, Michael was born September 6, 1954 to the late Mary Louise and Calvin Dawson Russell.

Including his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy and brother Sheldon Russell.

Survivors include his two sons, Mark Russell and wife Angie, Derick Russell and wife Emily; two stepchildren,Jason Martin and wife Kelli , Dale Martin and significant other Stephanie; two granddaughters, Brynleigh, and Kimber; one grandson, Jared; brothers , Keith Russell of Greensboro, Billy Russell of Caesar, Grant Russell of Bogue; and sister, Carolyn Russell of Bogue.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life Saturday, January 15th at 2pm at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory, 396 West St. Pittsboro NC. 27312.
