Lewis Levy

Lewis Levy of Des Moines Iowa left this Earth on 31 May 2022.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Margaret Levy, Brother Robert, and Sister Trudy.

He is survived by his brother John Levy (Nancy) and sister Cheryl Ann Kemp (Paul), as well as his children Cheryl Sue Cowling (Robby), Rebecca Levy, Margret Adams (Homer), Jasmine Levy (Jeff), and Jacob Levy (Katie) including multiple grand and great grandchildren.

Lewis was born 21 June 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa and spent his early adult life there before moving to North Carolina in the 1970s. Growing up in Iowa he helped his family grow and manage many restaurants, drive-ins, and residential complexes. After moving to North Carolina, he eventually settled in Jacksonville, NC. There he enjoyed his work for the Army Corps of Engineers as a QC for development and construction jobs on Military installations before he retired. In his free time, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and traveled many miles across the United States with his friends. Lewis also loved the “Salt Life” and took every minute he could to explore the beach, search for Shark’s teeth, and try to catch “the big one”.
