John B. Row, age 96, died on April 25, 2020 in Pittsboro, North Carolina. He is survived by a daughter, Johnna Bohana and husband Mark of Cape Coral, FL; a son, Jeff Row and wife Diane of Richfield, OH; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Betty R. Row.
John was born on January 5, 1924 in Junior, West Virginia to parents Charles Stacy Row and Dessie Gall Row. He worked for a short time in the coal mines and was a WWII veteran. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Masters in Economics and retired from Goodyear/Kelly Springfield after 38 years in manufacturing management.
John was involved in many activities throughout the years, including the American Legion, Rotary, the VA, the Masons and earned the Silver Beaver award for volunteerism with the Boy Scouts. After retiring and moving to Fearrington Village and Galloway Ridge in North Carolina, he was instrumental in establishing a woodworking shop and the discovery and renovation of a historical cemetery on site.
Interment will be at a later date in Belington, West Virginia.
