John Robert Horne

John Robert Horne, age 85, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, November 22, 2021, at home.

John was born in Orange County, North Carolina on January 21, 1936, to the late James Horne and Dorsie Brockwell Horne. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annette Peggy Green Horne, two brothers, JR Neville, and Garland Neville, and two sisters, Mildred Jones, and Mable Deese.

Surviving relatives include his son, Doug Horne, and wife Angie of Chapel Hill, one brother Jack Neville of Carrboro, one grandson, Randy Allen Green and one granddaughter, Stephanie Diane Horne.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 11AM at Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Wesley Thomas presiding.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in John’s memory to a charity of your choice.
