Evon Wilmer (Williams) Brockwell

Mrs. Evon Brockwell, 90, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2021 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC. A Harnett County native, Evon was born January 13, 1931, daughter to the late Mary Ethel Overby and Artemis Williams. She was devoted to her family and had a strong faith. She taught Pre-school for 15 years  and was in charge of the communion sacraments for nearly 20 years. She loved her family, dearly. She and her late husband, Ernest Eugene Brockwell were married for 40 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Brockwell Watson of Newton, NC; and her son, Floyd Wayne Brockwell of Chapel Hill, NC.

A Graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro, NC.  A Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM.
