Bonnie Marie Hanline, 73 of Snow Camp, NC passed away on December 26, 2019. She was born February 11, 1946 in Washington DC as Bonnie Marie Thorne.
The day after Christmas, the living world lost an amazing woman, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend but best of all, a child of GOD went home! Bonnie moved to North Caroline in 2008 to join family members but this was not easy move, as she loved her hometown of Indian Head, MD… Worked tireless hours as a servant to people as a waitress and bartender. Loved her music, time with family and could make a pot of beans last a week! LOVE, LAUGHTER & MUSIC was the theme around the house.
Bonnie is survived by her children Kimberly Dawn (Tim) Jordon, Elson Shane (Melissa) Gray and Steven Thomas Hanline, Jr.; her brother, Charles Thorne; sister, Karolyne Kennedy; her grandchildren, Mary Twigg, Brandon Wilson, Dusty Herbert, Misty Herbert and Justin Gray. Along with several great-grandchildren, her beloved dog, Scruffy and numerous other family members.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parent’s Elson Enoch & Mary Agnes Thorne; husband Steven Thomas Hanline, Sr. and grandson Tyler Shane Gray.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday Jan. 4, 2020 at 2pm at Saint John’s Episcopal Chapel Cemetery Bumpy Oak Road Pomonkey, MD where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Steve Hanline.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bonnie's honor be made to Tysor Vet Adoption Center in Siler City, NC; www.tysorvet.net or the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Brest Cancer; ww5.komen.org
