Margaret "Peggy" Smith Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Jean MacLeod Smith, age 87, of Pittsboro, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at Laurels of Chatham.

Peggy was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on September 28, 1930 to the late Roderick MacLeod and Gertrude Kilb MacLeod. She was also preceded in death by a brother Richard MacLeod.

Surviving relatives include her husband Ernest “Ernie” Smith, daughter Bonnie J. Ross of Pittsboro, son Bruce E. Smith and wife Carol of Brookline, New Hampshire, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

There are no services planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Hanks Chapel Church P.O. Box 366 Pittsboro, NC 27312.
