Helen Mary (Schmitt) Maurice

Helen Mary Schmitt Maurice, age 89, of Pittsboro, died Monday, September 30, 2019 at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living.

Helen was born in Dubuque County, Iowa on June 5, 1930 to the late Harvey Schmitt and Margaret Cosgrove Schmitt.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Raymond Maurice; six daughters; Kathy Maurice of Death Valley, California, Karen Wolfe of Cedar Ridge, Colorado, Diane Maurice of Virginia, Barbara Maurice of Wake Forest, NC, Julie Vanerus and husband Bill of Spring, Texas, Sharon Fazbbri and husband Ken of Bristol, Tennesse; two sons, Steve Maurice and wife Stephanie of Ridge Crest, California, Rich Maurice and wife Sook of Pittsboro, 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Apex with Father Dan Oschwald presiding. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park in Siler City.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for memorial contributions to be made in her memory to St. Andrews Catholic Church 3008 Old Raleigh Road Apex, NC 27502.
