Cornelia Carpenter Obituary

Cornelia Gertrude Gray Carpenter, age 90, of Sanford, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

Cornelia was born in Fulton County, Georgia on December 15, 1928 to the late Otto Detterus Gray and Mary Jolly-Morris Gray.

Surviving relatives include three sons; Glenn Johnson and wife Gail of Sanford, Atlas Johnson and wife Margaret of Bear Creek, Marty Johnson and wife Wendy of Pittsboro, sister Alva Carter and husband Chuck of Lilburn, Georgia; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

A Graveside Service will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at 2:30PM at Bynum United Methodist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in to Bynum United Methodist Church Cemetery P.O. Box 6 Bynum, NC 27228.
