William Benton Thrailkill

William Benton Thrailkill, age 88, of Pittsboro, died Thursday, June 9, 2026, at home.

Benton was born in Chatham County on November 6, 1937, to the late Bunn D. Thrailkill and Maggie Bryan Thrailkill. He was also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Fogleman Thrailkill.

Surviving relatives include one son; Ross Thrailkill and wife Becky of Pittsboro; one daughter Dodie Mills of Pittsboro, many nieces and nephews and, sister in laws, Sandy Fogleman and Ava Fogleman

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00AM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Pastor Patrick Jones and Rev. Ray Gooch presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Benton’s honor to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
