Vera Allen Riddle Johnson

Vera Allen Riddle Johnson, age 81, of Bynum, died Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at UNC Hospital.

Vera was born in Chatham County on April 20, 1943, to the late Cadle Riddle and Ruth Ellis Riddle. She was also preceded in death by her husband Robert Johnson. 

Surviving relatives include one son, Virgil Johnson of Bynum, one brother, Tommy Riddle of Durham, two sisters, Betty Edmonds of Wilson, North Carolina, Faye Wilson of Youngsville, North Carolina, and many cousins. 

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, at 2:00PM at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church cemetery with Jim Williams presiding. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Vera’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
