Tommie Walter Brooks

Tommie Walter Brooks, age 83, of Pittsboro, died Saturday, September 26, 2020 at home.

Tommie was born in Chatham County, NC on February 12, 1937 to the late Edward N. Brooks and Jewel Justice Brooks. He was also preceded in death by one brother Donald Brooks.

Surviving relatives include his wife; Margie Cheek Brooks, three sons; Randy Brooks and wife Belle of Pittsboro, Steve Brooks and wife Terri of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Phil Brooks and wife Lydia of Wachapreague, Virginia, one daughter; Lisa Holt and husband Van of Pittsboro, two sisters; Etta Thomas and husband Earl of Pittsboro, Trudy Sturdivant of Pittsboro, brother; David Brooks and wife Kathy of California, nine grandchildren; Cody Brooks, Emily Watson, Ches Brooks, Leah Holder, Justice Brooks, Harley Johnson, Brooks Holt, Ciara Holt, Jillian Holt, and four great-grandchildren; James Watson, Mary Grace Watson, Adeline Brooks, and Hayden Brooks.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 3PM at Emmaus Baptist Church Gymnasium with Pastor Steve Moore presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Immediately following the committal service, the family will receive family and friends in the fellowship hall.  

The service will be broadcast on the radio, you will be able to listen to it from your vehicle's radio on 88.3 FM on the church grounds.
