Thomas “Tommy” Wilson Glosson, age 86, of Pittsboro, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the SECU UNC Hospice House.
Tommy was born in Chatham County, NC on May 9, 1934 to the late Lacy Eugene Glosson and Zula Lewis Glosson. He was also preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Thomas and a brother Bobby Glosson.
Tommy was very active and served on many boards including; Chatham County Planning Board, Health Advisory Board, Cooperative Extension Advisory Board, Farm Bureau Board of Directors, and the Chatham County Fair Board.
Surviving relatives include his wife of 61 years, Hilda Russell Glosson, two daughters; Rose Marie Glosson of Pittsboro and Carol Ann Glosson of Pittsboro, one brother; Johnny Glosson of Pittsboro, one sister Ann Johnson of Wendell, NC, and one granddaughter Kelsey Marie Bombard of Pittsboro.
Due to COVID-19, there will not be a visitation.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Biggers presiding.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Tommy’s memory to a charity of your choice.
