Thomas “Tom” Andrews Wilkie, age 87, of Pittsboro, died Monday, March 24, 2025, at the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice House.
Tom was born in Durham County, North Carolina on January 10, 1938, to the late Clarence Wilkie and Pauline Andrews Wilkie. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Billy Wilkie.
Tom served our country in the United States Army from 1959-1962 serving with Co A319th USAS BN APO 171 in Germany.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Paulette Cook Wilkie, one brother, David Wilkie and wife Dororthy of Troy, North Carolina, and one sister, Mary “Sue” Pickard of Sanford, North Carolina.
There are no services planned at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Tom’s memory to the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan UNC Hospice House.
