Shirley Mae Meadows

Shirley Mae Meadows, 64, of New Bern, NC died on February 21, 2023 at the SECU Hospice Home of Pittsboro.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph Meadows and Fannie Mae (Stilley) Meadows.  She was born in July of 1958 in Washington, NC.  Shirley remained in Eastern North Carolina all her life making New Bern her home having worked for International Paper Products for many years.  Shirley leaves behind many second cousins who were more like sisters to her along with her many down East friends.  It was said that Shirley never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone and would give the shirt off her back to help another in need.  A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later date.  Memorial tributes can be left here on this page.  Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the Meadows family.  www.donaldsonfunerals.com
