Sharon Lee Jacoby

Sharon Lee Jacoby, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and cousin of Pittsboro, NC, formally of Centerport, NY passed away peacefully on October 12th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Sharon was born on July 17th, 1946, to her parents Elizabeth Donlon Ledwith and Thomas Ledwith in Garden City, New York.

She is survived by her husband Roger Jacoby of Pittsboro, NC, her son Todd Jacoby of Bronx, NY,  her daughter Jennifer Jacoby of Mineola, NY, her daughter Tara Jacoby of Miami, FL, her siblings Thomas Ledwith (Ellen), Patricia Rutledge (Ray), Noreen Malone, Michael Ledwith, her cousin Denise Donlon (Gary), her brother in law Randy Jacoby (Rita), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Sharon was a loving wife and mother. She worked in the Harborfields Central School district as a paraprofessional in the special education classrooms and loved all of her students. She always had wonderful stories about her students and truly enjoyed working with children.  Sharon was an amazing cook, loved all animals including our beloved dog Zsa Zsa, and loved being in the antique business with her husband Roger.

Sharon had a beautiful smile, a radiant and kind soul, compassion for animals, and loved her family deeply. She was a great listener who was compassionate and generous. Sharon will be missed dearly by all of those who knew and loved her. Her soul will live on through the lives of her loving children.

The family in North Carolina will receive friends Wednesday, October 16th, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at Donaldson Funeral Home & Crematory Griffin Chapel. A memorial service will follow at a later date in New York.
