Sarah Alice (Gardner) Williamson

Mrs. Sarah Alice Gardner Williamson,96, of Pittsboro,NC, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020, at The Oaks at Whitaker Glen-Mayview nursing facility in Raleigh, NC.

A native of Bennett, NC, she was born in 1924, and was daughter to the late Fleta Scott and Benjamin Gardner. Alice was a graduate of Bennett School where she was the salutatorian of her graduating class. Married to the late Roland Williamson, she lived in Robbins,NC, for many years and was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. Alice was a homemaker and an excellent Southern cook. She enjoyed baking and loved her cookbooks. After moving to Mt.Gilead ,NC, to live with her daughter and family, she became a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mt.Gilead She moved to Pittsboro, NC, with her daughter and family in 2007.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Emily Smith, and husband Archie C.Smith Jr of Pittsboro, NC; granddaughter, Mary Campbell Smith and husband Drew Cieszynski of Tustin,CA, brother, Cecil Gardner of Ramseur, NC, nieces and a nephew; and many friends.
