Robin Jill Kilby, 60 of Pittsboro, North Carolina passed away early
Monday morning, August 3, 2020 from injuries sustained in a motor
vehicle accident, off Lystra Road in Chapel Hill, NC.
Robin was born in Fairfax, Virginia December 1, 1959 to the late Robert
Kilby and Mary Jean Cunningham.
Robin grew up with a love of nature and all of the outdoors. She used to
compete in English dressage, endurance and other horse show events,
often taking home ribbons and trophies for her athletic skills. Robin
loved hard work and harder play. Her favorite get-a-ways were Nags Head
and simply spending peaceful evenings enjoying backyard sunsets with her
husband, Christopher. Robin's talents also extended into painting,
crafts and home decor. She had a knack with nature and had a few wild
deer that she could approach. She raised freshwater fish, had two
parakeets and adopted a stray cat named Marmalade.
Robin is survived by her husband of 12 years, Christopher Mitchell; her
brother Mark (Christine) Kilby of Luray, Virginia; and his sister, Jean
Smith of Pittsboro, North Carolina.
