Robert Wayne Howard of Moncure, 55, went home to be with the Lord the morning of December 22, 2022. He was born October 27, 1967 in Apex, and he graduated from Apex High School in 1986. Following a career spanning more than thirty years in land surveying, he left the field when his long-time employer, Al Prince and Associates of Cary, closed down. Robert was a lifelong member of Bells Baptist Church in Apex, NC, where he has served as a deacon, the audio/video technician, and as a member of several different committees. He was a faithful and devoted follower of Jesus, and lovingly raised his children with the same conviction. He enjoyed many things, including spending time with his family, camping and boating on Jordan Lake, visiting the beach, listening to various genres of music, watching UNC football and basketball, and building furniture.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Howard. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Veasey Howard; sons Troy Howard, Caleb Howard, and Asa Howard; daughter Zada Howard; mother Brenda Howard; sister Joyce Howard Truelove and husband Anthony; brother Chris Howard and wife Cynthni; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Bells Baptist Church in Apex, NC, on Saturday, December 31st, at 2:00 P.M., immediately followed by the memorial service at 3:00.
