Richard James Marion

Richard James Marion (48) passed away on June 19, 2025. Born on March 18, 1977 in Hackensack NJ, Richie grew up in Ridgewood NJ and graduated from Manhattan College. 

Richie was a devoted and loving father to his two children, Sam and Hudson, who were the lights of his life.  He affectionately called Sam “Sam-A-Lama-Ding-Dong” and thought of her as his sweet and kind princess.  Richie proudly claimed that Hudson was the smartest, handsomest, and tallest Marion, and loved watching Hudson excel on the field and in school.

Richie was intelligent and handy, but most of all, he was a great and loyal friend.  He had a smile that lit up a room.  He is predeceased by his twin brother, Gregory and is survived by his parents, Lynn and Doug, his children Samantha and Hudson and their mother Sherisse. 

A service will be held on Wednesday June 25.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances sent to Inspire Athletics Superstars, 125 Quarrystone Circle, Cary NC 27519.
