Rev. Paul Edwin Brimfield

On Tuesday, November 14, 2023, Paul Edwin Brimfield, devoted husband and loving father of three sons, went to be with our Lord at the age of 84.

Paul was born March 26, 1939 in Camden, NJ to Myrtle Muriel Brimfield and Edwin Louis Brimfield.  He graduated from Merchantville High School, in NJ.  Following that, Paul graduated from Rutgers University and then went on to get his Master of Divinity degree at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Through their faith-based young adult activities, Paul met and fell in love with Joyce Uron, and they married on October 11, 1969. 

Paul served three churches during his seminary years from 1969-1972.  Upon his completion of seminary, Paul and Joyce moved to Manasquan, NJ where Paul served as the Senior Pastor from 1972-1981.  Following that he served as the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Fairport, NY (1981-1996) and Calvary Baptist Church of Boardman, OH (1996-2006) with Joyce by his side every step of the way.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce Anna (Uron) Brimfield, his three sons and their spouses Jonathan Brimfield (Anna Brimfield), Justin Brimfield (Plamena Ilieva), and Jared Brimfield (Amanda Diesel) as well as his five grandchildren, Jackson, Maya, Lillian, Kai and Boden Brimfield.  He is also survived by his sister Jean Corbi (husband Thomas Corbi) his brother Alan Brimfield (wife Renée Brimfield), Nieces Rebecca Naphys, Whitney Brimfield, Kristen Mordeci and Nephews David Uron, Robert Uron, George Uron and Ryan Corbi.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Mount Carmel Baptist Church on Saturday, November 25th at 1PM.  There will be a private family burial prior to this service.
