Peggy Holt Rosenberger

Peggy Holt Rosenberger, 79, went to be with the Lord on February 12, 2025. She was born on October 27,1945, in Chatham County, NC to the late Tracy and Lessie Russell.

Peggy was a registered nurse and worked many years at Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC. In addition to her career as a nurse, Peggy was a craftswoman who loved doing things for her family and friends; sewing and mentoring others to make clothes and beautiful dresses; her cheese-cake was known throughout the county and beyond; all her grandchildren loved her famous “sandcastle cakes” during family beach trips; and even now, her flowers and gardens are peeping up from the ground around her comfortable country home. 

She was predeceased by her husband John Rosenberger, brother Eugene Russell, daughter Luanne Holt Oestreich, grandson Samuel Holt, stepdaughter Nancy McCall, and step granddaughter Sierra McCall.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Jeff (Barbara) Holt, Randy (Bethony) Holt, Chris Holt, and son in law Jeff Oestreich. By her brother Kenneth (Jane) Russell, sister-in-law Shirley Russell, grandchildren Britany (Brandon) McAbee, Chloe and Elijah Holt, Aaron Holt, Noah Carter and step grandchildren Larissa and Bia Pires, Jason (Misty) McCall, Andi McCall and Jack Gallaher.

A visitation will be Sunday, February 16th, at 2-2:50PM with memorial service to follow at 3PM at Emmaus Baptist Church.
