Peggy Lee (Sullivan) Cheek

Peggy Lee Sullivan Cheek, age 73, passed away in the company of her loving husband of 50 plus years, Donald Cheek, and her granddaughter the two raised together, Kaitlen “Kenny” Cheek. Peggy was born on March 19, 1952, to the late Johnnie and Audrey White Sullivan in Rockingham County, North Carolina. Most of her life was dedicated selflessly to helping others as a Nurse, tending and aiding to all folks from many different walks of life; in doing so, Peggy showered the world with her bountiful kindness and endless positivity.

Peggy was predeceased by her parents, her brothers, Jimmy Sullivan, Johnnie Sullivan and a sister, Patty Sullivan.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Cheek, granddaughter, Kaitlen (Kenny) Cheek, two brothers, Jerry Sullivan and David Sullivan.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in her memory to Gentiva Hospice of Sanford 1836 Doctors Drive Sanford, NC 27330. 

Memorial service is on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00AM at Mays Chapel Baptist Church with Val Chadwick presiding.  Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
