Patricia Anne French Dinwiddie born Oct. 14, 1948, in NY city to parents Hugh R. French and Arlene P. French and future brothers Billy and Ricky, and sister Pammy.

Pattie met future husband, John M Dinwiddie, and best friend Linda, John’s sister, at Keflavik Iceland airport, Land of fire and ice in 1962 at 2 a.m. during the time of the midnight sun. Pattie was a high school cheerleader. John was a senior high school basketball player.

Pattie married John, army PFC 10/20/1968, in Newport California, moved to El Paso, Texas, then to Cleveland, Ohio. She worked as a bank teller and loved a collie, named Impulsive. She had a home-built color tv, a Bozak speaker system, and a home-built coffee table. She loved a 1970 Barracuda and raced it on the expressway.

Pattie, mother of Jay born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a Senior Scientist in the AgBiotech Industry, was born Apr. 26, 1975. Loving spouse Heather.

Pattie, mother to Laurie Gyalog, was born Laurie Dinwiddie, Feb. 6, 1985, in Palm Beach, Florida. Attaining a North Carolina State Master’s degree and becoming a Red Hat People Manager. Loving spouse Kurt.

Pattie's two young granddaughters, Aubrianna, a 12-year-old scientific genius, and Skye, a master cheerleader at age 7. Pattie’s three older step-grandchildren, Jessica a nurse, Isaac a software programmer, and Samuel in the Coast Guard, all successful in their careers.

Pattie loved her family, her pets, Pittsboro N.C., family in California, close friends in Florida, and vacations to Costa Rica, Disney World, Dominican Republic, and others. She loved supporting Laurie twirl batons from age 4 on, jigsaw puzzles including a 10,000-piece puzzle. She loved tv. She tolerated her husband for 56 years. She disliked cooking, taking pills, and going to the hospital.

In the picture she toasts her friends and family from Costa Rica. She was a world citizen.

Pattie ran the family, worked as a nurse, a teller, a cashier, a tax preparer, and raised a wonderful family who helped her in her last days with congestive heart failure and cancer. She moved onto heaven Jan. 17, 2024, with a loving family by her side.
