Michael Wayne Lemmond died on November 9, 2022 at the age of 75 in Pittsboro, North Carolina.
Mike was an entrepreneur and founded several successful businesses in the steel fabrication and fastener distribution industry. Prior to his career in business, he taught Economics at Central Piedmont Community College. Mike was a storyteller and a prankster. He loved playing Scrabble, watching old Westerns, and rooting for Duke Basketball. Most of all, Mike loved spending time with his two grandchildren, whose love and energy served as a constant source of joy. He was incredibly proud of his daughter, Monica.
He was predeceased by his parents, Allen and Viola Lemmond; and siblings John Lemmond, Bobbi Gray, Teri Smart, Leo Lemmond, and Larry Lemmond. He is survived by his sister, Sheila Harris, and brother, Allen “Sonny” Lemmond. He leaves behind his daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Scott Lemmon, and two adored grandchildren, Alice and Matthew Lemmon.
