Martha Lucille (Wrenn) Howard

Martha Lucille Wrenn Howard, age 81, died at UNC Hospitals on September 3, 2023.

Martha was born on February 14, 1942, in Wake County, North Carolina to the late Arthur Connie Wrenn and Carolina Iva Yates Wrenn.

Martha loved growing flowers and gardens.  She loved watching the ducks, chickens and animals wandering around the yard.  Her daughter describes her as “the energizer bunny.”  Martha and Johnny were married for 44 years.  She loved her family and was their prayer warrior.  She would do anything for anyone including giving her shirt off her back.  She will be dearly missed.

Martha is survived by her husband, Johnny Howard, daughters, Donna Glosson (Timothy) of Moncure, NC, Debra Coats (Tina) of Garner, NC, sons, Johnny Wayne Howard of Clayton, NC Randy Howards of Wilson, NC, grandchildren Reuben Glosson (Sarah) of Moncure, NC, Shana Nowell (Jeremy) of Sanford, NC and two great grandchildren, Julian Nowell and Shelby Nowell of Sanford, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Connie Wrenn and Caroline Iva Wrenn, two sons, David Howard and Scotty Lee Howard and all eight of her siblings.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
