With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Mark Giardino, a devoted husband, gifted glass artist, and loving dog dad. He passed away peacefully at home on February 20th, surrounded by the love of his devoted spouse. His warmth, creativity, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of love and beauty.
Mark dedicated 30 years of hard work and service to Baltimore Gas & Electric, where he built lasting friendships and took pride in his work. After retirement, he fully embraced his passion as a glass artist, working in stained glass, fused glass, and mosaics. His breathtaking creations, full of color and light, brought joy to those who admired them and will continue to shine as a testament to his talent and artistic spirit.
Beyond his artistic gifts, Mark was known for his outgoing personality and genuine friendliness. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether through a warm conversation and his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. His laughter and kindhearted nature were truly contagious, leaving a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. Above all, Mark was a man of deep love and loyalty. His beloved wife Shelli was his heart’s companion, sharing a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and unwavering devotion. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, love, and the joyful presence of their cherished pets. As a devoted dog dad, Mark ensured his four-legged family members were loved, spoiled, and always at his side.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Cosmo Giardino, mother Marian Fideli Giardino, sister Rosemary Inqui, aunt and uncle Angie Guerriero and John Guerriro, mother-in-law Ruth Nobiling Stewart. Though he has left this world, we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with them, embraced once more by those who went before him. His kindness, vibrant spirit, and artistic vision will be missed beyond measure. May his spirit live on in the glow and beauty of the stained-glass creations and in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him.
