Louise Womble

Sarah Louise Womble, age 101, died Sunday, November 10, 2024, in Siler City, NC. She was born in Chatham County to the late Gaius and Berta Clark Womble. Louise was a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Pittsboro, NC where she was very active in the choir, served as Treasurer for years, and was involved in many Sunday School and Circle activities. She
worked at Chatham Mills in Pittsboro as an operator and she retired in 1985. She loved gardening, cooking, and taking care of her home and pets. She lived her faith by taking care of her many older relatives and friends over the years.

She is predeceased by her parents, sister, Doris Womble, brothers, Jack and Tom Womble. She is survived by her nieces, Debbie (Scott) Cunningham of Richmond, VA, Jackie Womble of Greensboro, NC and nephew, James (Jeanne) Womble of Pleasant Garden, NC, two great nephews, Matt and Jack (Shaine) Cunningham.

A funeral is planned for Monday, November 18, 2024, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church at 2PM with the burial to follow in the cemetery. Reverends Ray Gooch and Bill Negron presiding.
