Lindsay Kirk Johnson, 42, of Carrboro, NC, died peacefully early Friday morning, May 31, 2024, surrounded by her family and the loving care of UNC Hospice of Pittsboro, NC.
Lindsay was born on Thursday, August 6, 1981, in Dalton, GA. She graduated from Williams High School in Burlington, NC in 2000, where she loved & excelled in soccer. She also attended Western Carolina University & Alamance Community College.
After completing her degree in Early Education, she followed her passion and taught preschoolers who she absolutely adored. To everyone who knew her, she was known as a loving and sweet soul, just as gorgeous on the inside as the outside, with a smile so beautiful and with a lot of heart behind it. She had a real affection for all kinds of animals and she loved and adored children.
Lindsay is survived by her loving parents, Al & Vickie (Vaughn) Johnson of Mount Pleasant, SC; two devoted sisters, Leigh Friar and her husband, Joseph of Mount Pleasant, SC and Paige Lang of Wilmington, NC. Other survivors include her nephews, Macon, Jax, Layton, Ethan and Banks.
At the family’s request there will be a private family service to celebrate Lindsay’s wonderful an extraordinary life to be announced at a later date.
The family would like to extend their thanks for the loving care provided by the ICU Unit at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, as well as the UNC Hospice of Pittsboro, NC.

Lindsay will forever be missed by her loving parents, sisters and many extended family members along with their dear friends.
