Lila Genevea (Matthews) Perdew

Mrs. Lila Genevea Matthews Perdew, 96, passed away Monday morning, April 20, 2020, at The Genesis Center in Siler City, NC.  

A native of Chicago, IL, Lila was born April 30, 1923, daughter to the late Georgia and George Matthews.  She was married to Mr. Ralph Teague for nine years, until his passing from an automobile accident. She and Ralph had two children. Her son, John was killed in action in South Vietnam. http://thewall-usa.com/info.asp?recid=51331                                                                     

In addition, she lost her granddaughter, Carla in 2000.                                                                   

She met and married Mr. James Perdew until his passing in 2007.

Mrs. Perdew is survived by her daughter, Patricia Teague Burns of Bear Creek, NC; her stepsons, John Perdew of Sunrise, FL and James Perdew, Jr. of Dalton, GA; her stepdaughter, Rosanne Logan of Reynoldsburg, OH; her granddaughter, Paige Leath; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service to honor the life and memory of Lila will be held at a later date at the Piedmont Health Senior Care center in Pittsboro, NC.

She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
