Kris Chellani

KRIS CHELLANI, 24 years old, (1999-2023) passed away in a car accident along with his father Dhruva Chellani in Apex, North Carolina, on September 6, 2023. He was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Dhruva and Nina Chellani. Kris was a bright and shining student, class president, and recipient of prestigious scholarships. He graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, with degrees in Economics and in Business in less than 3 years. He was known and loved for his academic and entertaining content, with hundreds of thousands of followers across social media, many of which were filmed on the streets of New York City. Kris embodied a spirit of love, generosity, and community spirit. He divided his time between his entrepreneurial endeavors in New York and North Carolina. He was expected to take the reigns of his families business, Classic Carolina, an iconic fixture in the close-knit community of Chapel Hill.. Kris embodied the true spirit of love, as described in the Bhagwad Gita, by Krishna himself: Kris loved everyone without conditions, talked without intention, gave without reason, and cared without expectation. He owned businesses in North Carolina, and New York. He is survived by his sisters Krystal and Shera, and his mother Nina.

Dhruva and Kris passed away on Krishna Janmashtami. (The birthday of the Supreme Being, Krishna on earth, after whom Kris was named). Their souls are eternal.
