Kenneth Matthews Obituary

Kenneth Weldon Matthews, age 67, died at his home in Durham, NC, Monday, May 5, 2025. He was born January 19, 1958, in Durham, NC to the late Henry H. “Bill” Matthews and Grace Pendergraph Matthews.

Ken was a native of Durham. He graduated from Jordan High School and attended Elon College. He loved antique and gun shows, and he had a passion for military collectables. He was known to all for his quick humor and wit.

Ken is survived by his brothers, Tony Matthews of Durham, NC and Kevin Matthews (Tammy) of Siler City, NC nieces, Kristan Cooley (Jon) of Georgia, Leah Matthews of Boone, NC and nephews, Jesse Matthews of Wake Forest, NC and Tyler Matthews of Siler City, NC.

There will be a life celebration in Durham in the near future for all friends and relatives.
