Judith Boykin Obituary

Judith Raymond Boykin, 81, of Moncure, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on
July 31, 2025.

Born on February 3, 1944, in Stamford, Connecticut, Judith grew up in Stamford before
making her home in Montgomery County, Maryland, and Castleton, Virginia. In 2014, she
settled in Moncure, North Carolina, where she enjoyed her later years surrounded by family
and the beauty of the countryside.

A talented and creative soul, Judith built her career as a graphic artist and illustrator, blending
technical skill with an eye for beauty. Outside of work, her heart belonged to the equestrian
world—she loved horses deeply, spending many joyful years fox hunting, practicing dressage,
and simply being outdoors in their company. She was equally happy curled up with a good
book, tackling the New York Times crossword or Spelling Bee puzzle, or enjoying clever,
sharp-witted television.

Above all, Judith adored her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren, and they were her greatest pride and joy.

Judith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Boykin, in 2021. She is
survived by her daughter, Helen Frazier (Ted) of Moncure, NC; her son, Robert Campbell
(Stephanie) of Fort Lauderdale, FL; and her grandchildren: Steven Kelly (Nora), Michael Kelly
(Kori), Zachary Campbell, Cory Campbell (Lindsey), Dillon Campbell, Aley Jackson (Erik),
Savannah Frazier, Jonathan Frazier, and Mikayla Shanks. She also leaves behind five adored
great-grandchildren and her sisters Lynne Raymond Ryan of Timonium, MD and Helen
Raymond Phillips of Southport, CT

The family is deeply grateful to the Liberty Hospice Care team for their exceptional support
and compassion. Special thanks to Sandra Day, a wonderful and funny caregiver who always
brought laughter to Judy’s days, and to Barbara French, whose kindness and guidance
helped the family navigate the last year with grace and comfort.

Judith’s life will be remembered for her creativity, her adventurous spirit, her quick wit, and her
unwavering love for her family.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
