Joseph Robert Elmore

Joseph “Joe” Robert Elmore, 22, of Chatham County, NC died unexpectedly Sunday evening, June 16, 2024 at his home in Pittsboro. Joseph left this world after years of battling mental illness and drug addiction.  He is finally at peace. He loved his family, art and an amazing love of all kinds of music.

Joe as he was affectingly known was born on Tuesday, May 14, 2002, in Pittsboro, NC to his loving parents, Anthony H. Elmore of Bear Creek, NC and Emily (Way) Elmore of Pittsboro, NC. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted sister, Allison Elmore; maternal grandparents, Bob and Rosalyn Way and paternal grandmother, Joyce Elmore; aunts and uncles, Rich and Cherissa Way, Rebecca Way, Cassie Way; cousins, Layla Way and Asher Way along with many dear friends.  He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Joe Elmore.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, June 21, 2024 from 4-8 at Mr. & Mrs. Way’s home, 20 Birchwood Drive, Pittsboro, NC.  For further information you may call: 919.542.6710.
