John Hancock Obituary

John Robert Hancock, 48 beloved son and brother passed away on Aug 3, 2020.

John was born in Roanoke Rapids NC and attended NC state and Appalachian State University graduating in 1992 with a degree in computer science. John worked for many years as a computer programmer for Bank of America in Charlotte NC, the city he adopted. John loved music, reading, and traveling across the US on road trips with his beloved dog Momo by his side.

John was preceded in death by his father, Roland Hancock.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Hancock Chisholm of Pittsboro, NC, brothers and sisters, Roland Hancock Jr, Don Hancock, Susan Hancock, Kathryn Wisely, Samual Hancock, Barbara Alaverdi, Jerry Hancock and many family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
