Jean Riddle

Mrs. Jean Riddle of Pittsboro, NC passed on September 1, 2025. She was the only daughter born to Mr. & Mrs. Virgil and Vivian Hicks on December 4, 1930. She graduated from Durham High School in 1949.

Jean and her husband Bob Riddle were married in 1951 and were married for 75 years. They traveled with the Air Force until Bob retired in 1968 and then moved to Pittsboro.

Before Bob died in 2005, they loved traveling. They had an RV and covered the US three times. In their travels they visited Mexico four times and Canada once.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased in death by her two sons Mark and Ricky. She is survived by her granddaughter Kaela Riddle and grandsons Mark, and Jared Riddle of Olathe, KS. She has five great grandchildren, Alyssa, Saryah, Carter, Paisley, and Hayden.

A service will be held at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 11:00 o’clock. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

Jean wants to say “Thank You” to the ones who have been so helpful to her in the past few years.
