Jaye "Betsy" Elizabeth Reed Mills

Jaye “Betsy” Elizabeth Reed Mills age 58, of Pittsboro, died Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at home. 

Betsy was born on August 24, 1966, in Erie County, Pennsylvania to Jae Allen Reed the late Gloria Shope Mills.

In addition to her father, surviving relatives include her husband, Ted Mills, and two sisters, Jessica Reed of Raleigh and Jennifer Reed of Greenville, North Carolina.  

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 5, 2025, from 1:00PM to 2:00PM in the sanctuary at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 2:15 PM in the cemetery at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Smith presiding. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Betsy’s memory to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church 1785 Mt. Gilead Church Road Pittsboro, NC 27312.
