Jackie Carroll Hewett

Jackie Carroll Hewett passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 after battling congestive heart failure.  She passed peacefully while in the home of Mark and Paula Phillips, her daughter while on Hospice. She was 84 years old and was born and raised in Chatham County, North Carolina. Jackie has now gone to be with her Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven.  Her husband Cleo Hewett proceeded her in death, April 11, 1996.

Jackie was a loving mother and is survived by four children, Joyce Wilson, Charles (Pete) White, Bryan Hewett and wife Cathy, and Paula Phillips and husband Mark.  She had 3 wonderful grandchildren, Ashley Howe, Jonathan Wilson, and Thomas White.  She also had 3 adorable, fun loving great grandchildren, Haydin Howe, Lacy Wilson and Ryder White.  She is also survived by one brother Ronnie Carroll.

Prior to residing with Mark and Paula’s in Pittsboro, N.C. she lived in Mebane, North Carolina.  She enjoyed her home and neighbors and spent many hours sitting on her front porch watching the cars and people go by.

Jackie was a housewife for several years, a bookkeeper to her husband’s business and retired from Harris Teeter in Carrboro as a cake decorator.

A small graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Cemetery in Carrboro, North Carolina.   Due to COVID-19 there will not be a gathering after the service.

We love you very much mom and will join you in Heaven one day.
