Jack Burton

Jack Burton, age 70, of Fuquay Varina, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at home.
 

Jack was born in Long Island, New York on June 24, 1954, to Lila Tieger Burton and the late Stanley Burton. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Steve Burton.  He was an avid golfer and spent much of his adolescent years on the golf course or playing sports.  An attendee of Florida State University, he followed college football.  Jack worked in sales in the golf industry for upwards of 20 years after retiring from tournaments.  He was active coaching sports teams, reffing youth sports, and finding recent enjoyment in pickle and bocce ball.  Jack loved theme parks, especially Disney, and kept an entertainment schedule for him and his wife including musicals, concerts, and comedy shows.  

Surviving relatives include his wife Angelique Burton, daughter Brenda Burton of Holly Springs, and one brother Bruce Burton and wife Darlene of Tennessee.
