On July 4, 2025, Garrett Williamson reunited in Heaven with his dog Kemo, his family members who arrived earlier, and his “Uncle Mike” Thaggard who greeted him with fishing poles and tackle box in hand.
While on this earth, Garrett enjoyed working on cars, spending time with his best friends Josh, Eric and Aric, deer hunting, and fishing with his girlfriend Mary and her precious daughter Mirabella.
Left to remember him are his parents, Wayne and Kim; his sister Morgan and her fiancé Cedric; his grandparents Leon and Rebecca (Martin) and Ronald and Cathy (Williamson); his Aunt Heather, Uncle Wesley, and cousin Joshua (Perkins); his Uncle Jeff, Aunt Jennifer, and cousins Ursala, Alanis and Haliya (Williamson); his extended family; and his beloved co-workers at USPS in Pittsboro.
In lieu of flowers, Garrett’s family asks that donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill, 101 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517 or to the Grayson Murray Foundation, PO Box 176, Garner, NC 27529.
A memorial service will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home (396 West Street, Pittsboro, NC 27312) on Saturday, July 12, at 2:00pm. Family members will receive guests immediately following the service.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life,
Nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come,
Nor powers, nor height nor depth,
Nor anything else in all creation,
Will be able to separate us
From the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
