Fredericka Rae Allen

Fredericka Rae Allen, 73, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Pittsboro, North Carolina.

Born in Bloomington, Indiana on November 20, 1952, Fredericka lived a life marked by quiet joy, deep faith, and a steadfast love for the Word of God. A devoted student of Scripture, she found her greatest joy in studying the Bible, filling an entire cabinet with handwritten reflections and insights. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced it with wholehearted devotion.

Fredericka grew up in Florida and found her way to North Carolina where she cherished a simple, meaningful life. She delighted in small pleasures like sharing time with friends, savoring a plate of pasta and a cold root beer, curling up with Hallmark movies, exploring yard sales, collecting purses, and pampering herself with manicured nails. Her favorite color, purple, surrounded her in many aspects of her daily life.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sonya Rae Longmire and Brandy Burggraph; her sister Judith A. Dabrowski; and her brother Rae F. Allen Jr. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Frederick Allen; mother Louise May Brim; and brothers Philip Allen, Rodney L. Allen, and Mark G. Allen.

Fredericka's warmth and light touched those around her in quiet but lasting ways. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the faith she lived so fully.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be laid to rest at sea, with her ashes spread upon the ocean waves, the place of her fondest memories and home of dolphins whom she loved so dearly.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." (Psalm 73:26).
