Frances Terry Goodwin

Frances Terry Goodwin, 90, of Apex, Chatham County, NC died on March 8, 2023.  Born in 1932 in Durham County, NC she was the daughter of the late William H. Terry and Ardell F. (Brinkley) Terry.  Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Oscar “Caley” Goodwin and her son, Brent Goodwin, two brothers, John, and Wayne Terry and two sisters, Barbara, and Juanita Terry.  She is survived by her two daughters, Tina, and Rhonda Goodwin both of Apex, her grandson, Jason Goodwin and her three great grandchildren, Jacob, Kody, and Kylee Goodwin.  Frances is also survived by her three brothers, Lonnie, Billy, and Tommy Terry.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 15th at the Olive Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Apex, NC.  The family will be receiving friends before and after the service.

Frances will always be known for her many talents.  Mostly for her hard work on the family farm, her sewing and making clothing, gardening, and preserving and canning so others would have plenty to eat after the harvest seasons.  She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed greatly by all who knew her.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to New Hill Baptist Church where she was a long time member.
