Dorothy Lois (Sexton) Thomas

Dorothy Lois Sexton Thomas, age 83, passed away at the Siler City Center on Sunday, October 30, 2022.  She is the daughter of the late Lonnie Sexton, Sr and Ruby Chambers Sexton of Apex, NC.  She was born in Chatham County and was a lifelong member of Merritt’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  Dorothy was a huge contributor to the written history of the church.   Keeping a meticulous house and grounds brought her such joy.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Thomas of almost 60 years, daughter, Tracy Ann Thomas (Debra Davis) of Apex, NC, brother, Lonnie Sexton, Jr (Sandra), sister, Lillie Ferguson (Herbert), niece, Yvonne Goldston and nephews, Chad Sexton and Stephen Ferguson.

The Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Merritt’s Chapel United Methodist Church at 11AM with Rev. Ian Bailey presiding.
