Dorothy Catania Obituary

Dorothy Ann Walewski Catania, age of 92, of Pittsboro, died Monday, September 6, 2021, at UNC Hospital.

Dorothy was born in Queens, New York on April 14, 1929, to the late Walter Walewski and Sophie Rosiewski Walewski. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Walewski, Henry Walewski, Edward Walewski, and two sisters, Jean Blumberg, and Adele Geist.

Surviving relatives include one son, Luke Catania and wife Suzanne of Alexandria, Virginia, two daughters, Donna Devine and husband Al of Siler City, North Carolina, Lisa Flood and husband Frank of Huntington, New York, and four grandchildren, Marissa Devine, Christopher Devine, Aidan Flood, and Luke Catania.

There are no services planned in North Carolina. Services will take place in New York.
