Dewey Edward Wheeler

Dewey Edward Wheeler, age 86, of Chapel Hill, died Friday, April 25, 2025, at home.

Dewey was born in Johnston County on September 1, 1938, to the late Lonnie Wheeler and Emmie Norris Wheeler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wheeler.

Surviving relatives include three sons, Michael Wheeler and wife Wendi of Chapel Hill, Brian Wheeler and wife Lucy of Chapel Hill, Eddie Wheeler of Knightdale, and four grandchildren.

There are no services planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Dewey’s memory to Liberty Hospice 1005 Carthage Street Sanford, NC 27331.
