Dennis Allen Reid

Dennis Allen Reid, age 78, died peacefully Saturday, September 16, 2023, at The Arbor at Galloway Ridge.

Dennis was born in Rockford, Illinois on September 18, 1944, to the late William Reid and Doris Beck Reid.

Surviving Dennis is his wife of forty-three plus years, Debra Kuehl Reid; one brother, Steven Reid, and his wife Sandi of Rockford Illinois; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Dennis received his bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Illinois in 1973. He was a very active member of the Bahai’ community wherever he lived. He loved being outdoors and traveling, which he and his wife did a lot. He was a wonderful woodworker and loved photography. He had a love of  all music but especially the Wagner Operas and he saw all of them in person.  His wife said, “He was always happy!”

Dennis will be inurned in Rockford, Illinois at a later date.
