Dennis Ray Harrell

Dennis Ray Harrell, age 61, died at UNC Hospitals on June 25, 2024. He was born in Vance County, NC to the late Clarence Richard Harrell and Annie Mae Mitchell.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mildred Denise Hand, two sons, Justin Ray (Hillary) Harrell and Cody Wayne Harrell, three granddaughters, Olivia, Maggie, and Sadie.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Dennis also loved gardening, cooking on the grill, and going fishing. He was an Executive Council Member of NC Watermelon Association.

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 30 at 2:00 PM at Emmaus Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM with burial immediately following in the church cemetery.
