Carolyn Jean (Griffin) Robinson

Carolyn (Griffin) Robinson, 61, of Pittsboro died at UNC Hospital on February 20, 2023, with her family by her side.  She was born in Lee County, NC and was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Griffin and Jean Johnson.  Carolyn is survived by her husband, 42 years F. “Randy” Robinson.  Her two sons; Chris (Lori) Robinson of Pittsboro, Brad (Betsy) Robinson of Chapel Hill and her daughter, Sabrina (Steve) Evans of Pittsboro.  Her sister, Sarrah Kelly of Pittsboro and her 9 grandchildren; Briana and husband Justin, Trey, Samuel, Hanna, Deanna, Carter, Garrett, Sarah, and Garner and has one great grandchild on the way. 

Carolyn retired from Blue Cross Blue shield, North Carolina after 35 years of service.  She also served as a Volunteer Fire Fighter and EMS at the North Chatham Fire Dept. for over 13 years.  She loved animals and especially her pug’s Chance, Corky, and Ziggy and they loved her.  She loved stealing away some time at her beach place at North Topsail and occasionally riding on the back of her sister Sarrah’s Harley motorcycle.  Her most favorite thing in the world was being a mawmaw to her grandchildren, she loved watching and waiting for them to get off the school bus at her house on special days where she was sure to always make a special snack for them and have some fun playtime together.  Carolyn was a beloved wife, sister, mother and mawmaw and will be missed greatly.
