Bobby Lee Arrington

Bobby Lee Arrington, age 82, of Pittsboro, died Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the SECU Jim & Betsy Bryan Hospice Home of UNC.

Bobby was born in Pamplin, Virginia on April 26, 1939, to the late Stencil L. Arrington and Amy Hendren Arrington. He was also preceded in death by one sister Gaynell Fields, and three brothers, David Arrington, Lewis Arrington, and Jack Arrington.

Surviving relatives include his wife Vergie Hackney Arrington, two daughters, Lee Ann Churchill, and husband Robin of Carrboro, Amy Williams, and husband Todd of Pittsboro, one brother, Herbert Arrington of Chapel Hill, one sister Becky West of Spring Lake, six grandchildren, Tori Churchill and fiance Robert Hagerty, Tyler Churchill and wife Catherine, Josh Womble and partner Leslie Eades, Jeremy Womble, Blake Schemmer, and Blair Schemmer, and one great-grandchild, Serene Womble.

If anyone would like to visit, the family will receive visitors Friday night at the home of Lee Ann Churchill.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 12:00PM at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Mark Hall presiding.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made in Bobby’s memory to Lighthouse Baptist Church 12063 15-501 Highway North Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
